Fellowships

ECRA occasionally offers young scientists the opportunity to participate in and contribute to state-of-the-art research on the production and application of hydraulic binders. These fellowships are granted to graduate and postgraduate scientists for research on clinker and cement production and on the use of cement in concrete. The research sponsored under the fellowship must be undertaken mainly at ECRA’s premises in Duesseldorf, Germany. The monthly stipend will be between 1000 and 2000 EUR, with possible exceptions in special cases. The length of tenure is up to two years. An extension is possible on request, depending on the progress of the project in question.

Before sending us their full C.V., interested applicants are requested to provide us with a short proposal for the project they would like to work on by E-mail. The proposal should indicate the relevance of the project for the cement and construction materials industry. Potential cooperation with universities or other research institutions should be mentioned.

Applications from scientists willing to carry out projects in the context of ECRA’s current research are particularly welcome. For example, ECRA has an interest in the development of an overview which summarises all potential utilisation of CO2. This uitilisation should include all conceivable processes, independent of the utilisation rate, its market relevance or its energy demand.

Applications must be submitted in English or German.
