Online Seminar: Energy Efficiency of Cement Production
Objective:
To present innovative measures for the optimisation of energy consumption in the cement production process.
Target Group:
Plant managers, production managers, process (kiln and grinding)
Description:
Energy efficiency is on the agenda globally and the cement industry is challenged to give answers to the requirements it poses. The use of fuels and electrical energy for the production of cement is one of the most prioritised topics in the cement world. Today, the process-related potential to reduce energy consumption is widely exhausted. Nevertheless, some tools and interesting technologies have arisen in the past years, and in addition existing technologies in the plant often show the possibility of verifiable improvement. In this context, the seminar will present ways to improve current technologies and equipment and will introduce future trends and new developments in the field of pyro and mechanical process technology.Presentations:
Identifying energy efficiency potentials and possibilities to reduce CO₂ emissions
- Reduction of energy demand in the clinker burning proces
- New refractories for reduced energy demand
- "Near zero leak" kiln seals using graphite plate technology
- Separate ultra-fine grinding
- Raw meal sieving
- Booster mills
- Identifying improvement potentials by energy management
